Lloyd Robertson is the long time TV news anchor for CTV, and previous to that, CBC. He's now retired and The Kind of Life It’s Been is his memoirs.  

His story.

And Mr. Robertson certainly had dozens of stories to tell.

After all, he’s reported on many key points in history these last fifty odd years.

 

The JFK assassination, the moon landing, the Montreal Massacre, 9/11.

Multiple elections, Olympics, Royal Visits.

The list goes on and on.  

 

I’m not going to say anything else about this book, other than that I found it to be really fascinating.

And, for someone like me who knows very little about the broadcasting business, it was also quite informative and eye-opening.

 I highly recommend it.
